How update firmware WD2003FYYS to DELL Powervault MD3000
I recently buy and added a group of Western Digital WD2003FYYS RE4 to DELL Powervault MD3000 server (present list compatibility) to install OS
Windows Server 2008 R2.
But OS can't find any hard drives.
I'm wondering if Firmware Dell to this model - WD2003FYYS needs to be updated on both of these (HDD and OS) or OS only..
Has anyone seen this and/or have a solution?
I would really appreciate your help,

Hello evanasc
Our storage appliances will not accept 3rd party drives. Our version of that drive is model # WD2003FYYS-18W0B0. All firmware versions on that drive should allow it to be detected properly and work. Non-Dell drives will be disabled by the controller.
