Non-certified SSD Predicted Failure yesterday, changed to OK Today
Hello
On our poweredge server, we are using a Crucial SSD in RAID 1. Its been working fine (no amber lights) for last 3 months, however couple of days ago, I got an alert (5 alerts within 10 mins)
Predictive failure reported for Disk 5 in Enclosure 0 on Connector 0 of RAID Controller in Slot 5.
My surprise was, it went back to being Normal the next day, and now it shows Predicted Failure = No. Like nothing happened...
Why did it go back to Normal? Did the Drive correct itself by moving bad sectors around? Is it because its a non-certified drive?
If the latter, how do I actually monitor the drive? Host is running ESXI and the drive is in RAID 1

Yes, it is because they are non-certified drives. LED's are very inconsistent with these SSD's - many don't work, showing the drive as offline - they just lack the programming needed to reliably relay their status to the controller.
