Hello sunburn72,

If you are using the onboard LAN for your M710 that does support boot from san.  You can Google boot from san & it will come up with some standard ways of setting it up.  Here is a basic of what you will need to do.

1. Provision a SAN volume for iSCSI boot

2 Configure Your NICs.

To configure on the onboard nic of your M710 you need to hit F2 & go into the system bios first.

Once in system bios you will need to go to integrated devices and set the nic to iSCSI boot

While in the bios make sure you copy your mac address so that you can configure your iSCSI setting later.  Also you will need to make sure that you set the NIC to first boot priority.

Save changes and exit system bios.

3 put in iSCSI settings

Let server post and you will need to hit Ctrl K to go into the nic’s bios.  Select iSCSI boot & follow the steps.

4 Configure Your OS
