RAID10 and spans

Hello,

I have an H710 Mini with 5 attached discs that I want configured as a RAID10+hotspare.

I was, and am, a bit confused by the term "spans" even after reading the manual and some google searches.  I went about it by selecting RAID10 and then adding 2 "spans", thinking this means the spans would be RAID1 and it would stripe over the 2 spans.  However I can find no supporting information in the DRAC or openmanage to confirm that this is functioning that way.

Images are below, can it be confirmed this is indeed a properly configured RAID10?

Thank you,

AKG00,

It does appear to be configured as a raid 10. First off, a RAID 10 has multiple sets of RAID 1 arrays where each RAID 1 set is considered a span. So that should explain the Span term. Looking at your screen shot it shows 0:1:0 and 0:1:1 set as a the first raid 1, where 0:1:2 and 0:1:3 are the second span array.

So you are correct in your current configuration.
