T300 and perc6i
More questions please.I am just working through the plan for my t300.
Assuming i am going perc6i
What sas cable do i need? I have an np300 cable at the moment.
I have a raid battery and battery cable from a t310.
Do i need a led cable? The sas6ir has a cable which i think is a pd147.
Appreciate any help.

Hi @grahambrown,
Unfortunately, from the database that I am using for T300 parts searches, PERC6iR only supports T300 with backplane. There is no official information that the cable you have onhand can work with PERC6iR. As for servers that are already configured out from factory, it is difficult to convert the chassis. I'm unsure if it is the same as hotswap drive chassis and direct connection drive chassis.

You do not have PERC6iR on hand right? I'm unsure the RAID battery and cable that you have would be compatible with PERC6iR. Let us know the part numbers that you have.
Does the server have a backplane or fixed drives? Here's the T300 hardware guide for your reference to check what are the cables that you need. https://dell.to/30H74Li

Hi the server currently has a sas6ir but i want to put 8tb into it which is not supported.
I am looking to buy a perc6i because this doesnt have the limits.
The drives are direct cabled with no backplane.
I am trying to find out what cables and components i need to make a t300 work with a perc6i.
