T340 - H710 compatible?
Hello,
I have a Dell T340 with a H330 RAID controller in, performance isn’t great!
I have a spare Dell H710 card - would that work in the T340? I have looked and see that the card has different connectors but I have the cables that came with the H710 so hopefully they would work.
Just curious if this solution would work or whether I need to purchase an H730 card!

The H710 will not be compatible in the T340, as it is a couple server generations behind. You would indeed need to get the H730, or a an H330, that is compatible in the T340.

Heya,
yes, it will read the config on the discs and asks you to import it.
That's it.

Ok, I now have a nice shiny H730P adapter to install into the T340.
Assume it's just a case of swap out the cards, it will find the "foreign config", import it and off we go?!
