Virtual Disk FAILED, Drives online with 1 hot spare PERC S100
I have a problem with a PERC S100 on a T110 ii server, Raid 5, the OS is on this raid
We had a drive go offline (Physical Disk 0:2) this was put back online and the Virtual disk started to rebuild but failed
Disk 0:0 and 0:1 are known working and boot the OS, If disk 0:2 is put in, in place of any of these drives, the OS does not boot, so Disk 0:2 is BAD
Disk 0:1 is reporting an error (Medium Failed on physical drive 0:1)
Drive 0:2 was replaced and the server failed to boot with No MBA this was put back in and
Drive 0:1 was replaced, this started to rebuild the Virtual drive but failed at 1%
I now have a spare hot swap so I have 3 drives in the RAID, all are ONLINE and one hot swap spare
How can I rebuild the Virtual drive when it keeps failing
We are out of warranty, so no Dell support

Hi,
It sounds like there is a double fault with errors on drive 1 and drive 2 being failed. You are going to need to backup, even better would be a backup from before for the failure delete the array. Replace drive 1 in addition to the drive 2 replacement, create a new array and restore the backup.
