non supplied dell disk error PERC H700 - Dell - Divers Can i update to newst?
We run old drivers 2006 - So the server works with intel SSD disks.
But i really want to update those drivers, they are from 2006
But i seem to remember before if we updated some years ago, server would reject the SSD drives and say
non supplied dell disk error.
HAS there been any change is this, stupidity?
Can we now on our own sever use the disks we like if i use newest PERC H7nd can i also firmware update the controller, and it will be okay to use our own Intel SSD disks ??

The drives should function, they will throw an error in OpenManage since the firmware doesn't match what the controller is looking for. They will still operate.

The error remains, since the non-Dell drives do not have the same firmware. The drives will function fine, it just throws the error you are referring to.

So you are confirming i can
Firmware update the controller
Software update drivers
And SSD drives will still work in the server..
YES??
