BIOS Numbering?
I recently acquired a PowerEdge R900, a G10 machine, that displays BIOS version 1.10 1.1.9 during post. I, being easily confused, can't figure out whether a BIOS download 10G, 1.2.0 is an upgrade or not. One reason I wonder is when I try to install the 10G, 1.2.0 I'm told that it is not compatible with my machine.
Would someone please educate me? TIA.

Hi,
You may need to access to F2 BIOS settings to check what is the current BIOS version.
Please refer to the BIOS release notes: https://dell.to/2Y9GjrU on the upgrade version. You should upgrade the BIOS version 1 step version at a time. To download previous version of BIOS, this would be the link: https://dell.to/2vERahu.
