Barebones R610 SSD Install - What am I missing?
My company recently just purchased a r610 poweredge for our lab, and I am trying to install an SSD. I put the SSD in slot 0, but when I try to boot it up and install ESXI the drive does not display. I'm not trying to do an RAID array or anything of the sort just a straight ESXI install on the SSD. What am I missing? Sorry I am very new to this and don't deal with server hardware on a regular basis.
I would appreciate any guidance and help. Thanks!

You are probably using a RAID controller that does not support non-RAID. You need to configure it in a RAID array before anything can be presented to the OS. RAID 0 is your only option for a single disk.
