Best PCI Express Network card for a Power Edge T110 server running Windows 2008 SBS and 2008r2.

Hi all my PowerEdge is indicating by its amber light on front panel and the number 2 that shows on boot up and then disappears that my PCI express network card is going to fail, I can also see this by the colour of the lights where one plugs network cable into it, one side is green other side is amber. I also feel this is why we are getting an error message on Virtual remote server about Terminal Security layer protocol error in relation to the ISP of one of the users who remotely logs into server using Remote Desktop. As I have tried every other suggestion on MS support site and TechNet how to fix that error and most end up saying it is Network card related and as I have updated drivers for both the NICS on server I have updated has not solved the problem, I am left to conclude the PCI Express one is the fault, especillay based on the fault lights as per above. Server has a Broadcom on board one as well, system is set up to use Hyper V Terminal on a virtual drive. Anyone have suggestions on good one that is suitable with MS Windows 2008 SBS and 2008R2? Thanks Phil

I'd suggest a server Intel or Broadcom card.

This is a dual port Intel option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833106128. I cannot guarantee compatibility, but Dell servers typically are pretty good about accepting Intel (or Broadcom) cards of most types.

Thanks for reply and suggestion, What you suggest should be fine or I've been looking at the Intel® PRO/1000 Server Adapters Looks like it should d the job, has drives updated in April this year for Win 2008. Ta Phil
