Bios Date Incorrect

Poweredge 4400

The bios date was set to Jan 15, 2038 and the time was ahead 1 hour this morning.  This occurred around 5:00am mst.  This is the first time this has happened.  My bios rev is A08.  Will flashing it correct the problem or am I looking at another issue?

Hi,

I would recommend upgrading the System BIOS and ESM Firmware. If the problems continue, the next step would be the motherboard battery (part number 75481).

Dell Server System BIOS, PowerEdge 4400, A11
FileName:  4400-A11.exe [525 KB]
Release Date:  12/16/2003
http://support.dell.com/filelib/format.aspx?releaseid=R65153

Dell ESM Firmware, PowerEdge 2550, 4400, A56
Filename: a56cust.exe (405 KB)
http://support.dell.com/filelib/format.aspx?ReleaseID=R34150
Note: Extract the files to a DOS bootable floppy disk. Boot the server to this floppy disk, and run smflsh.exe.
