Bypass RAID hardware?

Hello, I'm looking to purchase a used 1650 that has 3 SCSI drives with the hardware RAID controller. I would like to disable to RAID and use the 3 drives seperately, but I'm not sure if this is even possible. I'm pretty good with hardware, but have zero experience with RAID.

I hope its as simple as unplugging the drives from the raid controller and plugging them in to the normal controller.

Sadly, I have no way to test this theory before making the purchase.

Thanks for any thoughts,

Aran

You will need to leave the drives attached as they are to the system board. Then all you have to do is enter the system BIOS, choose integrated devices and turn the Embedded SCSI to SCSI Enabled, not RAID enabled. That will allow for single SCSI disks to be used.
