CPU upgrade in Dell PowerEdge R430

Question

Hi  I am planning to add new CPU to Dell PowerEdge R430 Server. Currently server working as single socket server and with the upgrade need to be dual socket server.  1.) I am going to order CPU with exact similar server model with currently existing module.  Are there anything should I order apart from that?  2. ) Is it only to follow the steps given in owner's manual? Do I need to do any BIOS upgrade ?  3.) Will these processor modules HT enabled by default?  Thanks GPMPA

Hi Robert,  If I order this from Dell distributor, will they include heat sink and thermal paste?  Processor is Intel E5-2620 V4 processor. Thanks
