Can I put E3-1235L in PE R210 II?

Hi there,

I've recently picked up a PE R210 II system-board off eBay and looking for low TDP, AES-NI cpu for pfSense. Can I put an E3-1235L v5 in there? The R210 user guide says it can take 1200 series Xeon but this seems to be a much newer CPU. Does anyone have any experience with it or can anyone confirm if this CPU is supported at all?

Hello

No, it is not validated for the R210 II.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. When you say 'not validated', does it mean not supported? I was just hoping it might work as 1230L is in the supported CPU list.

What about E3-1260L or E3-1265L - should work?
