Cascasde PowerConnect Switch to Router

We have a PowerEdge with Win2003 and a Dell PowerConnect 2016 Switch. Can anyone recommend a router that can be connected via DSL to the Internet and cascade the PowerConnect to the Router? If so, would we use a straight through or cross cable? We would like to extend the router's ports to the PowerCascade. The clients and server will be connected to the PowerEdge and be able to surf the web.

I have tried to cascase the PowerConnect to a D-Link D-604 with no sucess. Also, there is not much capability for setting up the TCP ports in this router that will be necessary over time.
