Convert a PowerEdge T110 Into a NVR/DVR with CMS?

We plan on re-purposing our PowerEdge T110 into a DVR with a 32 channel BNC capture card (2x16 channel). However, this is kind of something way out of my experience. Has anyone done anything like this before? And I do see lots of capture cards all over the place, but what should I do in terms of software? Can anyone recommend a central management software that has remote access capability that we can load onto Windows Server?
