Dell 510 MIX memory configuration
I have 1 cpu out of 2 on my dell 510 & i want to install part of a mix of 3x8GB & 2x16GB memory that i have, i have 4 slots per cpu 1-3 white 4 black.
i is correct that -
1. the second group of banks will only work when second cpu installed ?
2. is the black slot only relevant when 2 cpu used ?
3. what is my best option to max RAM ?

Hello
The B lane cannot be used if you don't have a second CPU.
You can only use slots A1-A4 with a single CPU.
All of the memory in slots 1-3 should be identical. You can install a different module in slot 4.
