Hello,we have installed Dell PowerEdge R710 server and we want to upgrade ram on the server.RAm configuratiion of the server is shown below.

Physical Memory Array: #4096
Use: 0x03 (System memory)
Location: 0x03 (Motherboard)
Slots: 18
Max. Size: 288 GB
ECC: 0x06 (Multi-bit)

Used - 16 slot per 8 GB RDIMM (Part Number: "HMT31GR7BFR4A-H9")

Can we add 4x16 GB RDIMM module on the server?

Mixing of memory of various size is supported. You need to ensure DIMM on both CPU have same configuration and all channels will have identical configuration.

You can refer below links with more details on memory population guideleins.

R710 initially supported max of 8GB DIMM and 16GB DIMM support for R710 is added later. So it is recommended to have latest BIOS and iDRAC FW installed on the server before upgrading memory.
