I need to replace the current RAID controller card within my Dell PowerEdge R730xd server with a better RAID controller card so that I can use RAID 6.

Is this the correct RAID controller card for me to purchase?

EE1242,

The cable needed for the H730p, installed in slot 1, would be part # F63HD.

Lert me know if this helps.

Will my Dell PowerEdge R730xd server be able to use the existing cable it already has installed for the H330 controller card with the new H730P controller card that I have ordered?

Or will I have to order a special cable for the new H730P controller card?

Provided that the H330 in your server is not the minicard version, the connectors on the H330 and the H730P look to be the same SAS connectors. I would expect to be able to reuse the cabling.

Is this cable needed for the H730p, installed in slot 1 (part # F63HD) the same cable that is already installed in the server the same cable that is already being used by the existing H330 controller card or is it a different cable?
