Dell PowerEdge R740 BIOS Legacy boot

Hi gents,

I'm struggling with booting up an ISO that only works with BIOS boot, what would be the required settings on an R740 to get me into the so-called Legacy BIOS boot?

Hi, you can check out detailed infos in this pdf Configuring server boot options on 14th generation Dell EMC PowerEdge server

  1. Restart the server and press F2 to enter BIOS setup utility.
  2. Go to the System Setup section and select BIOS Boot Settings.
  3. Change the Boot Mode setting from UEFI to Legacy BIOS.
  4. Disable the Secure Boot option.
  5. Set the Legacy Boot Protocol" to Legacy Only or UEFI and Legacy depending on your needs.
  6. Save and exit the BIOS setup utility.
