Dell PowerEdge R810 - Node Interleaving and Redundant Memory both disabled
Hi,
We attempted an upgrade of our PowerEdge R810 to 32GB DIMMs but we get the "No configurable memory detected" error. After searching all the info we could find, we cannot get past this issue.
Our R810 configuration - 4x8 Core 2.6Ghz (E7-8837) CPU - originally 256GB RAM with 32x8GB DIMMs. The R810 is 10th Gen ii model.
After removing the RAM we installed the new 32GB DIMMs using the system manual guide:
A1,A3,A2,A4
B1,B3,B2,B4
C1,C3,C2,C4
D1,D3,D2,D4
Node Interleaving and Redundant Memory are both disabled.
We then replaced the 32GB DIMMs with the 8GB and rebooted back to 128GB RAM and all was ok. BIOS was double checked and is at version 2.11.0 (the latest available).
We then added the 32GB DIMMs and rebooted to get the same "No configurable memory detected" error. We Reset the BIOS and NVRAM, reinstalled only the 32GB DIMMs and rebooted. Again the error came back.
Repopulated the 8GB DIMMs and rebooted fine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can you share part# of the 32GB Memory module? R810 support 32 GB DIMMs only on systems with
• Intel 7510 scalable memory buffer
• Intel Xeon processor E7-2800/4800/8800 product family
You can get more details on this and how to check above from below link

Hi Shine,
The part number of the 32GB memory module is M393B4G70BM0-YF8.
The R810 does have the Intel 7510 and is installed with an Intel E7-8837 processor
Thanks

Is the memory module from Dell? You can verify by checking for Dell sticker on the DIMM modules. Can you also check the behavior by connecting only one DIMM per CPU i.e. A1,B1,C1 and D1 only?

Hi Shine,
We have now tried this configuration and unfortunately still get the same error.
Thanks

Hello ThomasTTS,
Have you updated all these firmware?
Requires CPLD, BIOS, and iDRAC firmware upgrade to support Intel Xeon processor E7-2800/4800/8800 product family.
Bios 2.11.0
Dell 11G CPLD, v.1.5.0, A03
Dell iDRAC Monolithic Release 2.90
