The T40 has a validated 16GB non-ECC memory option, part number TP9W1. You can find an order option on the site linked below.
I used unvalidated memory in my server without a problem, but because it isn't something that I can say has been tested to work, I can't recommend it in good faith. Memory of the same specs as what I linked to *SHOULD* work. Let me know if you have further questions.

Below is a link to the T40 owner's manual. The section on memory provides details on this. You can still use 64GB.

@Dell-DylanJ So, you confirm that Dell T40 with Xeon E-2224G is working with 64Gb non-ECC RAMs, right?

Question:
Can I replace the existing 8G, with a 16G Non-ECC memory? (not mix, just a brand new 16G Non-ECC desktop memory).
Thanks.
