Dell R640 software packages upgrade
I have few Dell R640 servers which are on different software packages. I managed to upgrade firmware version to 5.10.30.00 for all R640 servers but, BIOS s/w packages are still too old (different on different servers). The oldest BIOS version that I am seeing is 1.4.9.
What is the latest recommended BIOS version for Dell R640 servers? Is it okay to upgrade BIOS directly from 1.4.9 to the recommended BIOS version? If not, what upgrade path do I need to follow to upgrade BIOS version from 1.4.9?
Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

Latest BIOS for R640 is 2.15.1. You can find the same from below link
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=ndfhh&oscode=wst14&productcode=poweredge-r640
As 1.4.9 is very old version I would recommend to update to one of the earlier 2.X version first before updating to 2.15.1. You can check "Other Available Versions" on above link to get old version BIOS.
