Hello,

A factory reset is only going to affect BIOS settings. If you want to change the OS, you need to boot to installation media and simply install it. You could consider deleting the virtual disk that housed your previous OS, but it really isn't necessary.

Qemu is not supported, so I can't speak to it in terms of what to expect for video. However, both the front and rear VGA can provide video output. The front port can also be disabled, depending on BIOS settings.

If you're looking for the most thorough path, you could do something like shut the server off, disconnect it from power, hold the power button down for ~10 seconds, then remove the cover and move the NVRAM_CLR jumper from it's current position to common and the uncovered pin. Once the jumper is moved, you would then restore power and cycle normally. Shut it back down and return the jumper to it's original position. This won't clear the virtual disk, but is a way you could consider resetting the system, save for storage.
