Dual raid controllers in R620 and R720
Hello All,
I'm unable to find information on this yet since the R620 and R720s were just released. I'd like to know if you order the dual raid controller option how the fail-over works? Is it similar to the Powervault MD series where multipath is used?

Nick,
The dual controllers won't work as redundant to each other. They coexist but they are not interactive, so you wouldn't be able to span arrays across the two. You would have your VD's on one controller and then on the other controller it would have its own VD's.

Hi
i need to install dual raid controller for our R620, R720, R730 server,
i want to dedicate one raid controller for vSAN and another for normal Raid 10.
can you please give me any compatible controller Model for this ?

Are you looking at adding external controllers so that you can attach external storage? Also, what version of ESXi and vSAN are you working with?
