1. The error takes several seconds to disappear after replacing the cover, many people don't give it enough time for the error to go away.
2. The ESM may not recognize - or may not acknowledge it on the display that the cover has been replaced. This is common with old, out-of-date firmware.
3. Try clearing the ESM/SEL/Hardware Log. It will reset the log and error status and will only then return if the error is persistent.
