E5-2687w v2 processors support servers
Dear Friends. Please answer will Dell R630 server support E5-2687w v2? If possible, please inform what Dell server models will support E5-2687w v2 processors. Kind regards.

Hi,
It only supports V3 and V4. The R620 support V2 CPUs but not the 2687.

Thank You for the provided information. Please answer on what else Dell server platform except T3600 series it will be possible to use the E5-2687w v2 processors.

According to Intel, the C602 is the only chipset it is validated on. The only servers that appears to use the C602 are the PowerEdge R720 and the C8220, but that model CPU is not listed as supported for those servers. It "may" work, but you'd have to try it. It may not work because the clock speed, cache size/type, and/or the power requirements, etc. may not be compatible with the actual server hardware.
