Failed Disk Replacement Wont Rebuild RAID5 Array PERC6/i
All, Hardware = T710 with PERC6/i controller. I had a failed disk in the RAID5 array. I replaced it with a couple of good hard drives of the same type, but neither were recognized. In OSMA, the STATE of the replaced drive(s) shows up as "Removed" and no available task. How can I manually start the rebuild process? Thank you, Tim

Hello
It may be an OMSA issue. OMSA does not always update hardware status correctly. You can try restarting the OMSA services. They should all start with DSM in the list of services.
I would boot to the controller BIOS to be certain the disks are not detected properly. If they are still not detected properly in the controller BIOS then it may be a slot issue. Try the drives in another slot if available. The original disk failure may have been a slot failure, you may want to test that disk in another slot before throwing it away.
