Hello tds87,

Thank you for choosing Dell.

I've made a research and found that the latest available firmware version is 5.0.13, release date 06 Dec 2011. You can check firmware update here:

Full list of available drivers and firmware for PowerEdge M600 you can find here:

Please, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Good afternoon,
We have tried to update the firmware with the version that you have indicated and the error in the attached image appears.
The strange thing is that when I do an "ethtool -i eth0" version 5.0.6 appears.
Thanks in advance

Hello tds87

Could you provide us the part number on the BCM5708s?

Where did you get the firmware 7.4.8 shown in the screen shot?

Do you happen to have that firmware file name also?

Thank you

Hello tds87

We note the one Maria supplied v. 5.0.13 is valid for the BCM5708s (this can be seen at bottom of the page under Applies To)

https://dell.to/3gfYDLf

The v.7.4.8 in the Applies To section does not list the BCM5708s

Good afternoon,

The first screenshot is shown when I run the executable to update the firmware that Maria told me. It shows a message saying that the computer currently has a newer version,
but when I run the ethtool -s command it appears that it is an older version, as you can see in the second screenshot.

Thanks

Hello tds87,

Are you experiencing issues you are trying to resolve or general maintenance window?

If you're running fine you may consider staying with the firmware you have.

Or you can downgrade to the last validated firmware ver,5.0.13 by selecting Y when prompted.

Hello tds87,

This was the latest we posted. Broadcom NetXtreme/NetXtreme II Family of Adapters Driver

https://dell.to/3uuj1QX

See if you can confirm first if you have a newer version. You may want to keep what you have if it's newer. We don't have any other driver beside this one.
