Help: CPU upgrade error: This cpu power rating is not supported!!!

I have the R710 server that bought on January 2010.  The original CPUs were L5520.  Anyway, I just bought 2 new cpus X5680 to upgrade to the server.  At first, they can not boot up because the old BIOS, I just upgrade a new BIOS and I got the error: This cpu power rating is not supported, System halt.   The power supply is: 870 W.  So, could you please let me know any thing I need update for the system work.

Thanks!

QL98118,

If your server doesn't have this mark (II) on the chassis then in won't support the 130W Processors, as the X5680 is.

If it does have that mark then let me know.

Where exactly is the II mark on the R710? The picture provided does not look like an R710. I have search all over the place on Google for a pic of the II mark on an R710 and can't find one. I am looking forward to purchasing a used R710 (remote location) and wish to know if it is the II version....

sorry for the super bump, but i have a T610 and i never noticed this, nor found this thread from other searches but it answered the exact same question i have.

@Molasarto answer your question,  the Gen II Tag is on the plastic EST Tag that you pull out from under the Power Button on the T710.  If you see a Roman II on the EST Tag, it is Gen II.  if not,  it is Gen I.
