Help with FCoE and windows 2016
Hello,
I've got an FC430 server with Windows 2016 on it and I'm trying to get it to access SAN storage (but not boot) via FCoE. I've got a Qlogic BCM57810 adapter, FN2210S I/O modules on the FX2, directly connected to an IBM V3700 array.
I've never used FCoE directly from a windows box before, I've always used VMWare, so I'm probably missing some simple thing, but at this point I'm stumped.
I've installed the Qlogic drivers on this system from dell, along with the qlogic control suite. I've expected that I'll either have some additional tabs in Network adapter device in device manager, and/or some additional storage controllers, but neither exist. The Driver says it's "QLogic BCM57810 10 Gigabit Ethernet (NDIS VBD Client)". I'm wondering if that's the correct driver. It's implied in some documents that it should not be the "ndis vbd client" one, but I can't find anything else that windows will let me install.
The Storage array doesn't see the WWN numbers from the ports, and it really looks like FCoE just isn't "turned on" at the server. But. I'm stuck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you see the FCoE adapter under 'Storage Controllers' in Device Manager?
If not, I think you must enable NPAR on the card, and enable FCoE mode on partition 2 (I think you do it in BIOS/System Setup). Also disable partition 3 and 4 if you don't need more normal nic ports.

Kudos to Olainen. Just to expand a bit on that, the hardware level configuration for the card would be accessible from F2 > Device Settings. There should be a list of devices, including the PERC and network interface. You should be able to select the card and make your changes there.
