Hi, We know that DELL SSD has read intensive, write intensive and mixed use three type. My question is how to distinguish it based on the disk label?

Hello SeanMa,
I took a look at our service parts database at a few SSD drive labels. It's not plainly shown on the drive label, but if you send me the drive part number ( the DP/N number) or the PPID (the around 20 digit part number) I can look into the drive specs for you.

Another question is where can I download or check the relationship between MFG part number and DPN? For example, I have a MFG PN of 400-AZTW. Where can I check what does this MFG PN meaning and what is the corresponding DPN?
thanks

Hi @SeanMa,
There is no source for you to refer on differences between MFG part# and Dell part#. Both are considered the same, in terms of given the information for searches. I can't take 400-AZTW as an example due to the part is not available for purchase online, but only through sales. Hence, I'm using this as example: https://dell.to/3t86LnK
It is listing Manufacturer Part JJ6FD | Dell Part 400-ATIQ. Both information will lead to the same drive part and its other components including caddy and screws. Usually tech support uses MFG# for troubleshooting, and Dell Part for sales inquiries. Both are usable.
As for Charles's request, PPID is unique to each component in the server. Other words, it is serial number.

Hi,
The DPN# you provided is only the SSD heatsink.
