How to reload/ reinstall bios?

Dell dimension, e510: Started looping on start up. I tried to reinstall the OS and after formatting on a new hard drive, it will not load certain files from the Dell XP Media Manufactures CD. If I skip the files, of coarse it goes to a Memory dump when loading Windows. (Blue Screen of Death).I have reset the bios settings, I have reset the memory cards and cleaned contacts and used compressed air to remove excess dust from the internals. I cleaned the lens on the cd-r/dvd-r with the same results. Is it possible to upload the bios software or does this sound like a new mother board scenario?

Hi allot of the time when you have errors when trying to install windows and you get the blue screen it is caused by bad memory, if you have more that one stick of memory you could try to load windows with 1 stick of ram, if you get the errors with 1 stick try the other stick and see if you get errors then, also you could try taking everything  out except only what you need to install windows, hope this helps    Terry

Yes, thank you. I am open to anything at this moment and I have not tried that yet. Thanx again!

You can check your system with either Dell Diagnostics or download a copy of Memtest86+ from here, burn it to a CD as a disk image and boot it.  It goes a good job of testing memory.  Let it run for an hour or so and if there are no errors, the memory is OK.
