It is not recommended to directly update latest FW very old FW. It is recommended to perform staged update progressively to reach latest FW. You can alter iDRAC and BIOS (iDRAC -> BIOS -> iDRAC -> BIOS etc.) update to reach latest. It is not necessary to update all FW available. You can skip one or two version in between.
