The problem is this. When I choose  Deploy OS under the Unified Server Configurator I get this message:

Before Installing an Operating system, provide the source location for system drivers.  ON the next screen, select the source location of the system drivers. You can also save the drivers on the USB drive attached to your system, for future sessions.

On the next screen I have an option to choose the source

FTP Server

Local Drive (CD/DVD/USB)

My question is what am I suppose to choose? I only have a Windows 2008 Server DVD so am I suppose to download driver from the dell website stick them on a USB and choose local drive?

There doesn't appear a way to skip this step and go straight to inserting the OS Media.

Just boot to the 2008 R2 DVD and install directly from that. You don't need USC. Sounds like your USC needs to be updated, so unless you are determined to learn to do this through the USC, I'd just install from the OS media.

I tired rebooting from the DVD already and but for some reason when I get to the part to delete the existing partitions it doesn't see the drives.

You need drivers.

You must first run and extract the contents before using during the install.

PERC H200:
http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER00351602M/2/SAS-RAID_Driver_W52HW_WN32_2.0.35.10_A02.EXE

PERC S300 or S100:
http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER93604M/10/DELL_MULTI-DEVICE_A05_R294488.exe

If you are using the S100, go into the BIOS and disable it.

You may also need to configure the drives before Windows can see anything.
