M910 memory slot preference

Question

What memory slot in an m910 is A1 ? The diagram shows A1 as having BLUE levers BUT In the M910 user guide, it states:  Memory modules must be installed in pairs, beginning with the first two sockets in each set of memory modules.  These sockets are marked by white retention levers.
