MS server 2022, Media creation tool ?
MS Server 2022; No media creation tool for it yet? How do I get the ISO file onto a flash drive so I can install the OS? (must boot to the flash drive) Server 2022 has been out for over a year, why no install utility??

Get the evaluation here, then convert it from eval to retail to activate:

While this link does provide good general information. I can find no mention of using a flash drive to install server 2022. Only using a DVD drive. I have the eval version ISO, HOW DO I LOAD IT ONTO A BOOTABLE FLASH DRIVE? WHY HAS MICROSOFT NOT PROVIDED A "MEDIA CREATION TOOL" FOR SERVER 2022? On the net there are various examples of using PowerShell to create a bootable flash drive, a DIY. should I resort to one of these? By the way, MS server 2022 files add up to more than 4gb, Can not burn a DVD, blue ray I do not know.
Further developments. I actually found out that you can use the old Win7-USB-DVD-download-tool. It will copy over the 2022 server ISO files without a burp. However this USB media will only be recognized by the old BIOs-MBR drivers; it is NOT compatible with the newer UEFI boot mode. AKA no root kit protection. Not recommended for a production environment. I have been advised to use the RUFUS media creation tool that will be bootable in servers set to UEFI mode.

Sorry to necro a post, but Google has people searching for this, land here. So hopefully this helps.
The ISO is just an image file. You could use any ZIP program (7-zip recommended) to extract the files anywhere. You then could boot the software in place (ie repair/upgrade).
If you MUST boot to a USB, I recommend a VERY light weight, FREE program: RUFUS (please consider a donation, but still FREE!)

Hope that helps!

@captquazar I used Rufus 4.4.2103 to transfer the ISO to a bootable USB.
Choose a a high-quality USB stick or else things tend to go wrong.
