Maximum memory.

Question

Hi All, Can someone please tell me the maximum memory for PE 2950 and PE1950. I've read a few different answers to this. The manual says that the 2950 can take upto 32Gb of ram, but my dell open manage server says it can handle 64Gb ram. Can anyone verify this. The reason for this is I have 7 ESX servers where the ram is being heavily utilised while the CPU's are not all that busy and upgrading the ram seems the most sensible thing to do. My 2950's currently have 32Gb installed and my 1950's have 12Gb installed. Thanks Mike.

On release, 32GB was the max.  Post-RTS, support was added for 8GB DIMM's, bringing the total to 64GB.  Latest BIOS is needed for it, but if OMSA is saying 64 is max, then it already has the required BIOS code.
