Memory Bank Issue with SC1435?
I've been buying used sc1435's as they are a great server for a home/office -- 64-bit, hyper enabled, sata disks, but I'm experiencing the same issue for the third time in a row -- after running fine for a while, the server suddenly reports that the memory has been reduced and that the dimms in 5 6 7 8 are faulty. I can swap the RAM from the first 4 slots with the last 4 slots, and I get the same result, so it's not the RAM. It's as if the entire set of banks associated with the second processor has gone bad. This is with the latest BIOS.
Has anyone else seen this? I love the SC1435, but if this is a common issue, I will move on to a different model.

What you may try doing is making sure the processor is secure, if it is and issue persists you may want to swap processor 1 with processor 2 and see if issues follow to the other memory bank.
Let me know the results.

Son of a gun, that's the only permutation I hadn't tried. When I swapped processors, the failed banks swapped from 5-8 to 1-4.
What does that mean exactly? The machine posts fine and recognizes both processors. The OS boots and runs without issue. It also was working fine up until a couple weeks ago.
