Memory PowerEdge R430

Goodnight. I'm having a problem trying to perform a memory upgrade on my r430 poweredge. I'm putting 6 DDR4 RDIM memory sticks (32GB 2Rx4 2G x 72-Bit PC4-2400) specifically in the following Slots. A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, so it should recognize, 192GB of RAM.. But it's only recognizing 128GB. It currently has only one processor (XEON E5-2620 v4). What may be the problem?

Hi,

From the Dell PowerEdge R430 Owner's Manual, there is this guidelines:

  • Populate memory module sockets only if a processor is installed. For single-processor systems, sockets A1 to A8 are available. For dual-processor systems, sockets A1 to A8 and sockets B1 to B4 are available.
  • Populate all sockets with white release tabs first and then the black release tabs.

Please check the configuration.

Regards
