Memory Speed vs BUS speed on R730
Hi All experts,
We had recent issue on DIMM Memory so we went to iDRAC and change memory mode to OPtimizer mode.
WE have recently noticed that the System memory speed is 1866 MHz but the total BUS Speed is 2400.
Is that normal ?
wouldn't we get the full speed ?

Hello,
This is normal behavior, the operating frequency will be set by the hardware as needed. If you think it should be operating at the full 2400 MHz, you can try flashing both the BIOS and the iDRAC. If the hardware is the same as at the time of order, you're also welcome to message me the service tag. I can take a more specific look at the system using the service tag.

Yes, that's normal it dependes on the CPU that you have.
for example
Intel E5260 V3 - Memory type DDR4 1600/1866
