Memory for Poweredge SC420

I only have a GB Ram in my SC420 and I want to upgrade. Here are 3 links with guaranteed (by the vendor) compatible memory:

Kinston.com
Crucial.com
Dell.com

Per all 3, no 2GB DIMMs are offered and the online manual for the 420SC says the same here <ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>.

So I wouldn't expect that memory to work in your 420SC.

I have 2GB Kit(2x1GB) and one 256MB: 1GB: 240-PIN 128MBx72 DDR2 800 PC2-6400 UNBUFF CL6 ECC 256MB: DDR2 533 PC2-4200 UNBUFF CL4 ECC Should I add a single 256MB? Yes.Why? No.Why not? thanks in advance!

THANKS - I BOUGHT 3 GB OF THE RECOMMENDED RAM FROM KINGSTON ON FRIDAY FOR SAT DELIVERY - WORKED LIKE A CHAMP!
