Memory upgrade on R310 w/ Core i3 540
I've got a R310 with 2GB RAM and a Core i3 540 cpu. I'm looking to upgrade my RAM to the max capacity. I ordered a 4x8GB RDIMM kit, only to later discover that the Core i3 limits me to 16GB and UDIMMS only, so I can't even use half of what I ordered.
The current RAM in the machine is a single 2GB chip by Hyundai Electronics, PN HMT325U7BFR8A-H9. The specs on that chip show it is bus type PC-10600, but a lot of what I'm finding online is PC-12800. Is it possible to use PC-12800 chips on this machine (pulling out the old chip, not adding to it)?
Any other things to look for when ordering RAM?

Js151202,
I am only seeing PC-10600 dimms listed for the R310. So I am not sure that the PC-12800 would work for it. You could go with 4 4GB Udimms (part T192H) to max the server, with the current processor.
Let me know if this helps.
