Hi,

I was referring to F11 Boot menu. I found a youtube video showing something the same boot menu, but the person installed the USB in the mainboard port. You need not install the same. https://dell.to/2JvENv6

Hi,

Just to check with you, you're trying to install OS right? Just in case, Lifecycle Controller would be able to help you better on installing OS.

In your situation, when you are in boot menu, and you are able to see Hard drive C:, select it and press enter, the USB FAT32 should appear as the sub menu.

Eventually I will want to install ESX on this server but for now I'm just trying to make sure the BIOS etc. is set up correctly.  Regardless of whether or not I have the server boot settings set to BIOS or UEFI the USB ports do NOT show up as a choice to boot from.  If I have the server boot setting set to UEFI neither the USB ports nor the PERC controller show up as a choice to boot from.  Is this correct?

Also - your suggestion about selecting Hard drive C in the boot menu and USB FAT32 appearing as an option does not work for me.  I'm talking about the boot menu in the BIOS boot settings.
