Per6/i Drive in foreign state
Good day, I am really new with the Dell Perc controller and some help would appreciated. Here goes, one of our drives in a raid 5 started blinking orange after a power outage in our environment. The technician reseated the drive, blinking light went green but now the drive is seen as foreign. I dont want to lose any data but are not seeing any options to sync the drive with the config on the controller.

You need to CLEAR the foreign configuration, then assign it as a hot-spare. If it fails again, throw it away and get a validated replacement.
You clear the foreign configuration in OMSA, Storage, PERC, Information/Configuration link at the top of the page, then foreign/clear from the dropdown menu of Available Tasks for the controller.
