I just checked the INF file as well and it states version 2.0.35.10. What is the error you are receiving when installing because everything points to this being the driver you need?

[version]
signature="$Windows NT$"
Class=SCSIAdapter
ClassGUID={4D36E97B-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Provider=%DELL%
DriverVer=12/14/2010,2.00.35.10
CatalogFile.ntamd64=svlhx64.cat

Thx Daniel, Glad u picked up it was the 64 bit driver...The heading was a typo! It's going on to 2008R2

Unfortunately, although the link you gave does say 64bit, the acutal file is only 32 bit and the message comes back when installing: "This update package cannot be executed under the current operating system".

SAS-RAID_Driver_CHT0H_WN32_2.0.35.10_A01.EXE

Dell support here in Sydney cannot find the 64 bit version either....

Cheers,

John

I don't show we have a driver for 2008R2. The driver should be native to the OS, so you should not need to install one. The driver above is intended for 2008x64 which uses the Vista kernel. 2008R2 uses the Windows 7 kernel and the driver should be part of the driver database. Why are you installing the driver?

Thx Daniel.

OMSA is complaining that the driver version is old and is not at the required minimum level.

I still do not know where to get an updated driver though.

Hi Daniel,

Update: I was given the following link for the 64 bit driver. It contains mixtures of 64 bit and 32bit and versions that are not related (under Previous Versions),

www.dell.com/.../poweredge-r610

So I am very much confused about where to get the most up-to-date driver, as are the Dell guys in Sydney.

If you have any other ideas where to find the driver pls let me know. OMSA is asking for a minimum version of 2.00.35.00, 64 bit.

Thx,

John Bradshaw

Hi Daniel,

Appreciate the effort.

Sorry mate. Still no cigar. Only an old version is packaged from these 2.0.12.20 but not the higher 2.0.12.35 version OMSA is wanting.

Thx,

JB

Hello John

I did some digging in our internal tools and found the driver. It appears to have been submitted properly, but for some reason is not published to the web site. That is something I will take care of when I return to the office on Wednesday. Here is the FTP folder it is located in:

ftp://ftp.dell.com/FOLDER93522M

The various folders have different versions of the file. Folders 2 or 12 should work for your purposes. It is the H200 driver that is listed as compatible with both your server(Codename Wocket) and 2008R2. If it doesn't work let me know.

Thanks

If that is the case then all of the documentation is wrong on the driver. If the wrong driver is loaded then it will take a while to get the correct one installed.

I don't have an H200 on my computer to install to, but I downloaded the file and it states it is the latest version released this month. Could you double check?

Hi Daniel,

I was getting confused.

I was looking for an exe to double-click and run a Dell wizard. Then I realised from your last post that the ftp folders had an inf file that I needed to use via Device Manager.

And yes, that installed fine.

Thx for your persistence.

Good to hear

Here is the download page for the file:

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/poweredge-r310?driverId=W52HW&osCode=WS8R2&fileId=3155982103&languageCode=en

I'm working to get the file properly associated with all affected platforms.

Thanks

Thanks Daniel, We ran into this issue after installing a new PERC H200 in our R810.   I was on the line with Dell support & had a tech onsite and we weren't able to find the correct version until we found your post.
