Perc H700 in Dell R710 Backplane Cable Question
Hi,
I am installing a Perc H700 in my Dell R710 which has a 4 drive 3.5" Chassis. The R145M Cable does not work with this configuration because it is too short and the backplane right angle connector needs to be flipped.
Does anyone know what the part number would be for the correct cable for this configuration?

Mooks,
I apologize for that. The side you are connecting is going to call for this cable then - N170M
P110M is 621MM (25.7in) long
N170M is 731MM (28.7in) long

Chris,
Thank you for the quick reply. I see that the P110M cable is also 22 inches long, will that be long enough to reach from the integrated H700 controller to the backplane in this chassis since the backplane is on the opposite side of the chassis?

Mooks77,
The R145M cable is actually designed for the 2.5 backplane. The proper cable you need for the 3.5 is part number P110M.
Let me know how it goes.

Chris,
I purchased the P110M cable and it is 2 inches to short and won't reach the 4 drive 3.5" back plane when plugged into the controller. Is there another part number for a longer cable?
