Plug & Play configuration error: I/O allocation
Hi,
I'm using a Midas 20 VMETRO board, that embeds a PCI to VME bridge (universe II), on a PE R300. After BIOS I get the following error:
Plug & Play configuration error: I/O allocation
referring to bus address of the VME bridge device. Than pressing F1 the OS is loaded and everything works fine but the I/O space of the VME bridge is disabled. Since there are no conflicts with the I/O space addresses used by the other devices, I can enable it and the bridge works properly.
Do you have an idea about the reason of the error? Maybe something related to the subtractive decoding of the VME (like for the ISA bus) not supported by the BIOS?
Thanks in advance for any reply!
Best,
Andrea
