Power Edge 2300/500 using as Domain Controller getting error 8602

I have a small business and am using a Power Edge Server 2300/500 as the Domain Controller for security, to authenticate users etc.  Was running fine then one user was denied access to the network because there was a "logon" error and it couldn't identify the computer.  Anyone who logged off and then tried to get back on was also unable to reconnect to the network.  When rebooting we see an error 8602 auxiliary device failure.  Keyboard, mouse and Monitor are working. We rebooted the PE server but it locks up at "preparing network connections".  We tried to enter in safe mode but it locks up at logon.  We checked network connections, swapped out 5 port hub, unplugged network card, tried different card.  Disconnected cd drives.  Nothing works.   At this point looking for ideas on what to do, any suggestions?

Try another keyboard and mouse, even though they seem to be working. It might be a flakey key on the keyboard or something odd with the mouse.

Disconnect the server from everything it doesn't need to boot while testing this (network, printers, KVM, etc) leaving only the keyboard (directly connected), mouse (directly connected) and monitor (directly connected).

Thank you for your suggestion however it didn't help.  I believe that 8602 error was a result of reversing the input on the mouse when we were trying diff things it wasn't the root cause of the problem.  We plugged the mouse in properly and that error went away.

When we originally started having issues we checked the server and found the domain controller server locked up on "preparing network connections".  We didn't have a power outage and it's on a battery backup anyway.  We don't know why it suddenly seemed to have rebooted itself and then stuck on preparing network connections.  We haven't been able to get beyond that even in safe mode.  Coincidentally we started having trouble when our ISP went down so I don't know if that has something to do with it or not.
